« Le PASSEUR » est le premier bateau-taxi professionnel à desservir le bassin d’Arcachon

« Le PASSEUR » est conçu pour accoster partout. Il accueille aussi les personnes à mobilité réduite. 

Lundi après-midi, « Le Passeur », premier taxi-bateau professionnel du Bassin, a été mis à l’eau au port de Larros. Construit en quatre mois par le chantier CAI (Chaudronnerie Alu Inox), installé sur la zone d’activités de Gujan-Mestras, il a été dessiné par Vincent Duchatelet, architecte naval. L’ensemble des pièces en aluminium a été livré en kit après leur découpe au laser par une entreprise du Pays basque.

Hors des circuits classiques

« C’est le premier bateau de ce type que nous construisons. Nous avons essayé de le penser pour qu’il puisse accoster à tous les endroits du Bassin », explique Serge Maurin, propriétaire du chantier. « Le Passeur » a été pensé pour pouvoir déposer les passagers soit par l’avant, soit par le côté. Il est accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite.

Ce premier taxi-bateau a été construit pour Jean-Claude Barrière. Son fils, Thibault, en sera le capitaine. C’est d’ailleurs lui qui s’est mis à la barre pour effectuer les premières manœuvres après la mise à l’eau.

« Il est destiné à faire des liaisons hors des circuits classiques desservis par les bateliers et uniquement à la demande, jour et nuit », commente Jean-Claude Barrière. Ce premier taxi-bateau professionnel du Bassin, dessiné sur mesure pour répondre aux attentes de ses clients, peut embarquer douze passagers. Il est conforme à tous les règlements maritimes et bureau VERITAS pour assurer sa mission.

Exemple de tarif : 50 € la course pour un aller simple entre Arcachon et le Cap-Ferret, et 80€ pour un aller et retour  (de 1 à 5 personnes).
